Collection Optimizations
Collections are our way of targeting Keywords & Locations to bring the website more traffic & potential leads to our client's businesses.
As a Project Manager, it is your responsibility to ensure that your websites have their Collections created, and optimized as per the following.
Keywords
The best way to identify the right keywords to use for a website is to know that Services or Products they offer. This are usually done once the website is launched.
Ask Your Client
- What Services to you Provide?
- Do you provide other services apart from ______?
- If the client is knowledgeable on SEO & keywords, you can ask them directly as well. "What keywords would you like to target for the site?"
Identify Them
Sometimes, you will know which keywords to target as you're become more familiar with each business. You can add the keywords you feel would benefit the site. We have a page that's got the list of common Keywords per business.
Geo Targeting
This is the targeting of locations were your client's potential customers would be. Either that's in their local vicinity, or a city that your client can travel to.
We are adding these cities & states in our pages so that when customers look for our client's services in their areas, our website could potentially appear in the search result.
We have another page that solely discusses Geo Targeting & how to do it.
Collections Display
We have two ways to display the collections on the Headers Navigation
1. Traditional Display
Collections are simply kept visible under a Tab
These are applicable to Business that travel to their clients to provide their services.
- Plumbing
- Lawn Care
- Home Contractor

2. External Dynamics
This is a way for us to simplify the dropdown menu to list only the services & not the locations when not needed.
These are applicable for websites where the Businesses have a physical location.
- Gyms
- Hair Salon
- Vape Shop
Clients for these types of businesses will always not want the locations in the collections to appear on the header menu, since this would give their clients the wrong impression that they have branches in other locations.

If External Dynamics is your mode of Navigation Display, once your Collection Ticket is finished,
you'll need to create a 2nd ticket to add these collection links to the footer of the website. Use this
Ticket Template for it.
